Lozere is famous for its progressive fishing policies which in some instance are unique in France. In 1996 Lozere resigned from the National Federation and now funds and administers its own highly successful fishing and conservation programme. One inexpensive permit buys your fishing across the entire region (unlike other regions in France where permit requirements can be a minefield of costly confusion).
And in keeping with the sport’s global trend, Lozere’s impressive kilometercount of catch and release stretches grows larger each year - wonderful news for the fly fisherman. The Season runs from March to September - 2700 kms of wonderful rivers and streams are yours to enjoy for a mere 30 Euros permit for 7 consecutive day.
