Fishing paradise lacs and rivers flyfishing

Flyfishing in gorges du Tarn
The least populated region in France, and to the English tourist - one of her best kept secrets. Until now!

Lozere lies in the south east of France and encompasses half million hectares of stunningly beautiful, protected national heritage - including 2700 kilometers of category one (troutfilled) rivers and streams.

The region’s life-blood stems from the snow melt waters of the Central Massif, percolating through strata’s of Granite, Basalt, Limestone and Shale to produce numerous rivers of incredible clarity and diversity - a veritable fly - fishing paradise!

Lozere’s Fishing

In fishing terms, Lozere can be categorized into four main departments.

The untamed upland Moors and wild-flower prairies of the Aubrac and Margeride plateaus. To the south east, the pastoral beauty of Cevenne’s rolling valleys. And running east to west, the Grand Causes (dramatic Gorges) of the Tarn, the Jonte and the Lot cleave the region in two.

Each department offers a different topography - and each offering wonderfully diverse habitat for the Trout and the Fly.
